Cozy Christmas Candle

Regular price $22.00 $0.00

I have always loved the minimal Scandinavian look of fresh pine and dried orange slices at Christmas. Draped garland on the fireplace mantel or draped down a staircase with carefully placed homemade dried orange slices? The best! The colors pop, the fragrance is amazing, and this blend is a celebration of just that!

This fun holiday fusion starts with top notes of zesty orange peel and cinnamon sticks, middle accords of apple, cypress and moss, and rounded out with strong base notes of spruce, pine and cedar. It’s a punchy bright scent that is strong and true. We love this fragrance and think you will too!

Dirt Road Candle Co. candles are hand poured in small batches in Lewis, Iowa. We use pure, renewable, American grown soy wax infused with fragrances that are free of paraben & phthalate free fragrances. They are the cleanest non-toxic candles on the market! Variations in the look and texture of the wax will vary from candle to candle. These differences are not considered defects nor will they affect how your candle burns.

Allow your candle to reach a full melt pool during every burn. This is where the wax is completely melted around the whole diameter of the jar. This will ensure a clean, even burn for the life of your candle. Always keep the wick trimmed to 1/4".

Please note that the jars are reusable after your candle is finished. Simply pop the wick out of the bottom of your jar and dispose of it. Then, put the jar into the microwave until the remaining wax is melted. Use a paper towel to wipe the remaining melted wax out of the jar. Put it into dishwasher to clean and sanitize. Reuse for years to come!

In order to enjoy that crackle light after light there are a couple tips you need to know first! Listen up wood wick lovers!

1. Wick height. It’s super important that your wick is 1/8 inch tall or shorter. The wood wick needs to be close to the wax, so the wick can’t be too tall.

2. Trim your wick! While this important for every candle it’s necessary on wood wicks. You HAVE to trim your wick before re-lighting them each time! If you don’t trim your wick, they will light up and burn out shortly after. If you trim your wick and this still happens, stay calm and trim a little bit more off and relight. Keep doing this until it stays lit.

3. Lighting it up. When you light your wood wick, you need to put the flame where the wick and the wax meet. If you light from the top tip of the wick, it will burn out. It needs the fuel from the melted wax to keep the wick burning.
